FIVE FAVOURITES OF OCTOBER

This post contains affiliate links. Please read my full disclaimer here.
And just like that Halloween is over and we’re in November. It’s so crazy to think how fast October went by even though I spent a relatively large amount of it inside dwelling on how bad the weather has been in October. I am secretly quite happy that October is over, as I found it to be quite a difficult month motivation and productive-ness wise. However, I did want to share the five favourite products I have loved lots during the month of October that have made October slightly better than expected.

H&M camel jumper

One of the first things I noticed when I got back from my holiday, was how extremely cold it already was in Holland. As soon as I got back from my holiday in Spain at the end of September I have worn jumpers to keep me warm. The one jumper that has been a big favourite inside of my closet is this camel jumper from H&M. This jumper was a purchase I made back in February in the H&M sale, but it’s one of those jumpers that always makes a comeback in their stores. Currently I am really having a moment with neutrals, so it’s no surprise that this jumper made it’s why into my five favourites list. I also have no doubt that this jumper may even become a favourite inside of my autumn winter wardrobe and will make multiple appearances on the blog until at least March next year.

Daniel Wellington classic watch

The past few weeks I have really been trying to wear my jewellery more often. One of the pieces I have really worn and loved lots during October is this Daniel Wellington watch. I feel like this is such a classic piece to have inside of your wardrobe and instantly makes your outfit look a bit chicer. A watch is such a classic and timeless piece of accessory to have, which I think is such a must for every men and women to have. This Daniel Wellington has silver hardware, but I have a lot of gold jewellery, such as necklaces and rings. That’s why I have been looking at a gold watch to match my other jewellery soon.

La Roche Posay Cicaplast lip balm

Autumn, the cold weather and central heating has been horrible on my skin. I have noticed my skin is becoming a lot drier nowadays. Not only did I notice this by an increase of pimples, I also noticed that my lips really have been cracking and super dry lately. Even though I know that drinking enough water should also help with preventing cracked lips, it still did not do enough. It’s why I invested some money in the Cicaplast line from La Roche Posay. I had heard and read so many great things about this line, as it’s really good for burns and super dry skin, which is why I got the lip balm. So far this lip balm has really helped me keep my lips moisturised when I put this on in the morning until noon. I don’t like to put lip balm on too often as it can be quite addictive, so to only have to put this on once during the day is quite impressive for me and my super dry, chapped lips.

Stella Stella McCartney Perfume

I don’t think I have made it a secret that I am thoroughly enjoying the Stella by Stella McCartney perfume as soon as autumn hits. I love this perfume as it always brings back so many memories. This is one of those scents I sadly cannot get in Holland, which means I often buy it when I am in the UK. So whenever I spray this on, this instantly brings back memories of my trips to London and Edinburgh with my friends. This perfume has lots rose, peony and citrus scents in it, what to me makes it the perfect autumn scent. I love more citrusy scents for spring and summer and like to go for a bit more of a stronger scent during the autumn/winter seasons.

H&M black turtleneck top

My final favourite of October is a super simple, black turtleneck top from H&M. I don’t think you can go wrong with a turtleneck top or jumper for autumn. I love how there are so many ways to style turtlenecks during this time around. I have worn lots of turtleneck jumpers and tops this month, but this one has definitely been a favourite of mine. The variation on how to style a turtleneck top is literally endless, as you can wear them with jeans, skirts and pleather trousers during this time of year. I have loved styling this top in a super casual and simple look by pairing it with blue jeans and a blazer. Pinterest has been my main source of inspiration lately. It’s why I have come to love styling turtleneck tops and jumpers with your hair slicked back in a low bun or with your hair tucked into the top. I honestly think it’s such a great, minimal kind of look.
