TIPS FOR HAVING PRODUCTIVE WORK FROM HOME DAY

And just like that it’s the end of March. March really threw us all a curveball, huh? We’re basically all working from home at the moment and even though not much is changing for my personal situation, I too have struggled with the recent changes to protect others and ourselves. So I can only imag…

HOW TO GET MOTIVATED AFTER THE HOLIDAYS

Life is getting back to normal for us all, I noticed this morning that kids are going back to school again and there were lots of traffic jams on the roads this morning. Holidays are officially over and reality has kicked in. I slowly started working again last week, but struggled getting to work.…

FINDING NEW BLOG INSPIRATION

Having a blog while being unmotivated or uninspired can be super difficult for any blogger out there. How can you continue to create engaging and enjoyable content when you don’t have any sort of idea of what to write about? I have been blogging since 2011, but it’s only since 2016-2017 that I am …

HOW TO FIND YOUR BLOGGING VOICE

These first two months of 2019 have been very focussed on my blog. January has really been all about where I want to take my blog in the future now that I am soon going to be graduating. Before this I had never really sat down and created a strategy for my blog as I always saw it as a hobby and di…

MY BLOG VISION FOR 2019

Last year, 2018, did not feel like a good year for my blog. It was one of those years where I was putting most of my creativity and energy into uni assignments and writing my dissertation. This meant that I felt like I barely had time left to also come up with writing blog posts. I felt creatively…

OVERCOMING A POST-HOLIDAY FUNK

It’s nearly September, which means it’s nearly time for me to go back to uni soon. This summer has been so much fun and I am kind of sad to say goodbye to summer. So many great memories have been made this summer, but more on that later. I did however find it difficult to create content during my summer break away from uni. I pretty much struggle with this every year when I come back from my summer holiday. I get this post-holiday funk where I feel uninspired and don’t really know what to write about. That explains why I have been posting so extremely inconsistent during August, which I truly hope you can forgive me for.

BLOGGING TIPS FROM MY COMMUNICATIONS COURSE

This is my fourth year of studying Communications at uni. It’s my final year and it got me thinking about the last couple of years. Studying communications has helped me grow so much as a person. But not only did it help me grow as a person, it also helped me improve some things on the blog. This is something that I didn’t at first anticipate when I started studying Communications. In this post I will be discussing all the things I have learnt so far while studying Communications. Of course I have learnt so much, but there are only so many things that came from theory that I can ‘try out’ on my blog.

HOW TO GET BLOG ORGANISED

It can be quite hard to keep blogging while also still being a uni student or when you're working full time. I admire bloggers who are able to blog every single day, get creative content going and are still able to work on the side. Blogging can take up quite a lot of time and it's very important to have things for your blog in order, in order to be able to post regularly, while still also having new and exciting content to show. In this post I am going to share a few tips with you on how I try to stay blog organised and to keep up with everything that has to do with my blog.

MY LOVE-HATE RELATIONSHIP WITH SOCIAL MEDIA

Last week was a bit of an off-week for me. I felt very demotivated by social media and I noticed that I have this love-hate relationship with social media. As much as I love social media and would love to pursue my professional career in social media in the future, I also kind of hate it for a few reasons. Today's Monday and it's a new week. I am feeling much better again and I am much more motivated to blog and post on Instagram again. So to break down this whole thought process I have gone through last week, I thought I would share this post on the blog. Hoping to share something relatable or maybe to bring you a peak into my life.

HOW I GOT OUT OF MY BLOGGING RUT

Hello, I am back again. This week has been quite uneventful, as I spent most of my time this week in bed curing yet another flu. Thankfully I am finally feeling better again and I now only have to blow my nose every 10 minutes instead of every 5 minutes, so I feel like that's a massive improvement. This past few days being in bed all day got me thinking about the blog though.

I guess the fever just went to my head and made me 'realize' things (gosh I am really hard trying not to sound like Kylie in that one clip). The realization that came to me in this feverish state is that I am finally enjoy blogging again. I feel like I am finally writing content again, that I am proud of. Last year I may have lost a bit of my passion for blogging. I never really knew what I wanted to talk about in blog posts, I was just feeling pressured to blog and was never truly satisfied with the content I created. Quitting isn't something that I like to give in to, so I just kept forcing myself to write blog posts anyway. However, towards the end of January I got this sudden boost of inspiration, motivation and willpower. I wanted to get back into things again, because as much as 2017 was a lovely year, I felt like 2017 also was the year I pressed pause in my life a bit.
