FIVE FAVOURITES OF APRIL

This post contains affiliate links

Another month has gone by and we’re already in May. This basically means that we’re nearly half way through 2019 already, which is crazy! April is another month where I discovered some old and new favourites that I can’t wait to share with you. Most of the items mentioned in this post will actually be old favourites, as I have just rediscovered a couple of great items because we’re now properly into spring and have had a couple of glorious and nearly summer-like days.

H&M white shirt

I love a classic white shirt, but I hadn’t really worn one in ages. That’s why I decided to quickly hop into H&M and find myself a new white shirt to wear. I absolutely fell in love with this white shirt at H&M that is super lightweight and loose to wear during the warmer days we had during the Easter break. A white shirt is such a classic wardrobe staple that everyone should own, so it’s no surprise that this has become such a favourite and go-to item of mine inside of my wardrobe. This is the H&M white shirt I bought.

L’Occitane Amande hand cream

Another item I have loved and mentioned lots on the blog before is the L’Occitane Amande hand cream. I love to use this hand cream during this time of year, as it has got to be one of the nicest smelling hand creams I own. My hands can still get quite dry during this time of year, which means I will easily get cuts in my hands because I spend a lot of time putting my hands inside the pockets of my leather jacket. It’s always nice to have super soft and moisturised hands and this hand cream does that job right. I also like that this helps to prevent me from getting anymore cuts on my hands.

Clinique 72-hour Moisture Surge hydrator

I have mentioned this moisturiser only recently, but I have to give it a mention again on here. The Clinique 72-hour Moisture Surge Hydrator has got to be the loveliest product to use in the morning, especially during spring. This moisturiser is great if you have dehydrated skin, as this is made to hydrate it again. It contains hyaluronic acid, which is basically a dream product to put moisture back into your skin. Another reason why I love to use this moisture surge hydrator during this time of year is because it’s very cooling. Because this moisturiser has an almost gel-like texture, it feels super refreshing and cooling to put on in the morning or if you’re feeling a bit puffy from hay fever.

Sometimes I might put on another layer of this somewhere halfway through the day if my skin is feeling extra dehydrated. My skin absolutely loves this moisturiser and just instantly drinks soaks this up.

Primark x Alex Steinherr exfoliating pads

I love myself a good acid exfoliation as I find that it has really worked and helped me occasionally clear up my acne. I saw Rose rave about these Primark x Alex Steinherr exfoliating pads on Twitter and was so impressed by how much her skin improved by using it a couple of times. That’s when I decided I needed to hop into town to get my hands on these exfoliating pads. I love to use these at night and have noticed that they have really done their magic. At first I broke out because of them, which basically means these pads were getting all the build up dirt out of the deeper layers of my skin. I now have a couple of pimples because of last weeks Easter chocolate fest, but I know they will be gone because of these pads as soon as all the chocolate and sugars have left my body.

H&M (p)leather jacket

One of the first items I wanted to give a mention in today’s post is my H&M pleather jacket I bought last year. A leather jacket is such an essential item into basically everyone’s wardrobe for spring. I think it’s such a versatile and easy to throw on item that I have gravitated towards lots this past month. (p)Leather jackets have been such an essential inside of my wardrobe since high school and I honestly don’t think I will ever stop wearing leather jackets. I love how they make any outfit a little bit tougher. The one I bought sadly isn't available anymore, but this one from H&M is pretty similar.
