MY NO MAKEUP MAKEUP ROUTINE FOR SPRING

This post contains affiliate links

As soon as spring rolls around my makeup routine becomes a lot more minimal. I like to put as little makeup on as possible without looking like an actual wreck. It has taken me a little while to get comfortable with not wearing too much makeup, as you might know that I have acne prone skin. With that also sadly come scars, which has always made me felt insecure. This year I feel like I have finally become a bit more confident with my skin. This mainly has to do with my skin getting a little better by the skincare I have been using. It means that I don’t really feel the need to cover up my scars as much as before.

So since I don’t feel the need to use a heavy base layer to cover up my scars as much anymore, I like to start of by using the Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow Tinted moisturiser. I have used this tinted moisturiser religiously in the autumn of 2017, but back then I was afraid of having glowy skin. Back then I put some extra powder on my face afterwards. Nowadays I am all about that glow and usually put just the tinted moisturiser on its own on my face. This is such a gorgeous product as it gives you that lovely summer glow. I always get so many compliments on my skin whenever I use this tinted moisturiser, which to me is a sign to keep using this product for the spring and summer season.

The next step in my makeup routine is to put some bronzer on. I love to use bronzer on my skin. I am pretty sure I have mentioned some sort of bronzer in all of my makeup routine posts. One of my all time favourite bronzers has got to be the NARS Laguna bronzer. I am currently using the NARS Sun Wash Diffusing bronzer, which I actually picked up on accident, as I wanted to buy the normal one. I actually find that this one is not as pigmented as the normal Nars Laguna bronzer, which makes is very natural and is why I love to use it so much.

Once my bronzer is on I move on to my brows. I am constantly switching my eyebrow products up. At the moment I am using the Catrice Eyebrow Set powder. I recently have gotten back into using my brow powder, as I find that this is the quickest and works best for me. I put the Catrcie Eye Brow powder onto my face with a Real Techniques angled brush. I got this angled brush as a Christmas gift from my parents as my old one definitely needed to a replacement.

The final step in my makeup routine is mascara. At the moment I have gone back to one of my first favourite mascaras I have tried. So right now I am using the L’Oreal Volume Million Dollar Lashes in Extra Black. This is one of those mascaras I absolutely used to love back in the day. I like to use this on its own for a more minimal makeup look. If I want some extra dramatic lashes, I usually would curl my eyelashes or combine use the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, which is my favourite for some extra drama.

That’s it. I usually end up with putting a bit of lip balm on as well. I love this routine as it’s super quick, it only takes me about 5 minutes to put my makeup on. I love this because this means I usually get to have an extra 15 minutes in bed.
