Last week I received lots of DM’s on Instagram after posting my Blue Monday tips because a couple of you guys wanted to know what products I use to make my skin look super healthy/glowy. I have always loved a bit of a glow as it just makes your skin look super fresh and healthy and it makes you look like you have just come back from a lovely trip away in the sun. Back in the day I used to use lots of highlight to achieve this look, but nowadays I find that just these four products can already help me achieve this look I want to go for.
I have written about my skin lots before, so here’s a little break down of what my skin type is like. I am actually quite oily but also have very dehydrated skin. Because I am oily I already produce quite a lot of oils throughout the day, however my skin can also look super dull because I am quite dehydrated. This post basically sums up the four skincare and/or makeup products I like to use on a daily basis to prevent my skin from looking super dull.
NARS Tinted Moisturizer
One of the first products I have to mention is the
NARS tinted moisturizer. This is the first product I had bought that made my skin look healthy and glowy. Whereas before I was scared to end up looking like a shiny old disco ball, I am now fully embracing any kind of glow I can get – natural as well as by products. Anyway, I love this NARS tinted moisturizer because it gives you a nice glow and a bit of a tint. I usually just put this product on and then put a little bit of translucent, transparent powder on to prevent me from looking like an actual disco ball. However, I am super gutted because I somehow always get breakouts if I use this tinted moisturizer for too long. There must be an ingredient in there that my skin can’t really handle, so I only really tend to use this tinted moisturizer on and off every now and again.
Kiehl’s Glow Formula Skin Hydrator*
The next product has been talked about in my 2018 beauty discoveries post already. So I’m not going to go on and on about the
Kiehl’s Glow Formula Skin Hydrator*. This is yet another great product that makes your skin glow. I have used this every day in January and have had so many compliments on how ‘healthy and glowy’ I look. I put this on after my moisturizer and sometimes just leave it like that. Then if I wear makeup I would just let this sink into my skin for about a minute or so and then continue on doing my makeup.
Becca Backlight Priming Filter
Especially during the winter time my skin tends to look extremely dull and dehydrated. Some days I put on a heavier day cream and don’t feel like putting on an extra hydrator after my moisturizer. That’s when I gravitate towards using the
Becca Backlight Priming filter. This basically is a primer that makes your skin look super nice and glowy. I find that one pump of this product is more than enough for all my skin. This is about a pea sized dollop of the primer. I find that if I use more, my skin looks a bit too healthy for my liking.
Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer
And the final product I want to mention in this post is the
Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer. This once again is one of those beautiful products I always talk about on the blog. I tend to use this product when I am a bit more tan as this product also gives you a little bit of a tint, just like the NARS tinted moisturizer. This product leaves your skin looking super gorgeous. I use about four dollops of this onto my face and then just work it into my skin with my hands. I once again powder my face off with a bit of powder and then look all healthy and glowy.
Your skin looks flawless!!
