How is it March already? February went by so quickly, it's unbelievable. Time is literally flying by so quickly. I am truly hoping that we will be getting warmer, spring-like weather, because I am in need of some warmth and a bit of vitamine D. Anyway, putting this month's five favourite together was quite hard. I spend most of my time either inside without in my comfy outfit without any makeup on and I ended up catching the flu right in the middle of the month. Thankfully I am finally a bit more organized in life and wrote down what items I have been liking, so this post wasn't so hard to write anymore. Without further or do, here are my five favourites of February.

The first thing that is worth mentioning in my five favourites on the blog, is this New Look check coat. I ordered this coat towards the end of December and wore it a few times in January. In February, however, I have had quite a moment with this coat. I have worn it so much. Of course this coat is a favourite of mine because of the print. I am still very much in love with the Prince of Wales/Checked trend. So it felt wrong to not have this coat make an appearance.

It's definitely not the warmest coat around though, but during the beginning of February we had a couple of days where it wasn't as cold as it is right now (it's arctic outside right now). So as soon as the weather slowly starts to warm up again, I am going back to wearing this beauty.

Somewhere around February, I start to have this mood swing. By the time I have had that mood swing, I am so over the cold weather and crave spring/summer weather. This mood swing not only happens inside my wardrobe, but also happens in my perfume collection. During the autumn/winter season I always lean towards my Stella McCartney perfume or the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle perfume. However, as soon as the weather starts to get warmer, I like to spray on fresher perfumes. That's why I am absolutely adoring Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche right now. This perfume is such a classic scent for me. Funny story: This is actually my first real 'grown up' fragrance. I got it for my 13th birthday from friends. Ever since, I have gone through at least 4 of these bottles.

Another thing that I have been loving in February, is the Nars tinted moisturizer. It has been something I have loved during september, and just now got back to. My skin had a bit of a breakout during January because of the after-Christmas sugar rush. So February was all about detoxing my skin, cutting out sugar as much as possible (I mean I had to have those three birthday cakes, right?! I was turning 21!). Having a blog is really good to see what products you have used during certain moments in time. In September for instance, I mentioned the Nars Tinted Moisturizer in my five favourites too. I remember it giving me enough coverage to feel comfortable to go out, so I had to buy it again, but around 4 shades lighter, as I had quite the tan when I first got the NARS tinted moisturizer. It's such a lovely, lightweight product that I am loving so, so much. It's so easy to just quickly put on in the morning!

Another makeup bit I have been loving is the Becca Backlight Priming Filter. I felt like my skin looked a bit dull throughout January, so I decided that I wanted to give the Becca Backlight Priming Filter a try. Needless to say, is that I absolutely love this product. I quite like the smell, and feel like the Nars tinted moisturizer and this primer have the exact same scent. But what I like most is that it instantly makes me look healthy and glowy. I have oily skin, and that's when you usually would avoid using these sorts of products. I love how this looks on though, even throughout the day when I get a bit more oily.

The final thing I have been loving, is this DKNY purse. When I turned 21 I had this real struggle to ask for gifts. So my parents ended up giving me a purse. This actually is my first 'proper' purse that I got for my birthday. It felt only right to receive a new purse now that I am 21. So far I feel very grown up and sophisticated when using this purse. It's also very easy and handy and has more than enough space for all of my cards. Of course this purse has to be black, because basically all of the accessories I own are black.

  1. I'm actually so ready for March and for spring!! Love your favourites - I used to wear that Chanel fragrance, it's so fresh and lovely!

  2. That coat is amazing!

    Bukola Veronica,

  3. This has made me really want to change up the fragrance I wear, I'm always sticking to Marc Jacobs but Chanel just sounds like it smells so much more elegant!

    1. Ahh the Chanel fragrance is one of my absolute, all time favourites! Let me know if you switch it up! :) xx
