TRANSITIONAL WEATHER STYLE STAPLES

Are we technically still in transitional weather? I feel like we are… Some days it still feels like summer, but other days it feels like it’s proper autumn. I thought it would be fun to share five items that are part of my transitional weather style staples. These are just items I tend to reach for every time, year after year. I like making these posts as they are always super easy to look back on when you’re having a bit of an outfit dilemma.

Camel coat

A camel coat is such a staple inside everyone’s wardrobe in my opinion. It’s one of those pieces that always come back inside my wardrobe and style, every autumn. I have one from Pull & Bear that I have had for absolute ages. It has lasted me for about 4 years already now, and it’s just such a classic and timeless pieces. I love throwing this coat on whenever I am in a rush in the morning, especially at the beginning of the uni semesters where I feel like I would just rather spend a couple more minutes in bed.

White shirt

Just like a camel coat is such a timeless and classic piece inside your wardrobe, I would say it’s pretty much the same for a white shirt. At the moment I love white shirts and blouses again. At the end of summer/beginning of autumn we can sometimes have a couple of those days where it’s either super warm or just chillier. It’s why I reach towards linen shirts quite more often lately. Linen shirts are so lovely to wear during this time of year. Once the weather gets a bit chillier, I will definitely be going back to cotton shirts and thicker shirts to keep myself warm during the colder days.

Cardigan

Obviously I cannot write a post about transitional weather style staples without mentioning some sort of a cardigan. This is my latest style staple addition to the wardrobe that I cannot stop wearing. I love the shorter cardigans at the moment after seeing it on so many other gorgeous girls last year. But it doesn’t really come as a surprise as you may have noticed how often I have mentioned/wore this on the blog and on Instagram in August and September.

(PU) Leather jacket

Obviously I cannot mention a transitional style staples post without mentioning my leather jacket. I live in leather jackets during this time of year, as I never really know whether it’s going to be too warm to wear a wool coat just yet. Leather jackets are such a wardrobe staple, once again, in mostly everyone’s wardrobe and they definitely always come out to play during this time of year.

Biker boots

And finally I had to give a little mention to biker boots. Boots boots boots, the wardrobe staple of every girl and their mum as soon as September hits. I love styling these biker boots either with dresses or skirts, but also with jeans. It really just depends on what the weather is like, as I just wouldn’t wear a pair of boots with jeans when it’s still 22-degrees Celsius weather out. I would much rather style a midi skirt or a midi dress instead.
