First of all, like I said in my latest post, how is it September already? How are there only 3 months of the year left?! I am so confused by how fast this year is flying by. August especially went by in the blink of an eye, and now I am already back at uni. I have loved so many great things during the month of August that I am so excited to share with you, which I am going to do in today’s post!

Mizu waterbottle

The first thing I have loved and basically have used every day in August is my Mizu waterbottle. I think I first got this bottle at the end of June, just before I went away on holiday. These past couple of months I have been trying to be a bit more conscious on how much plasic I use on a day-to-day basis. I was always buying a bottle of water because I forgot to bring one, not only is that really bad for the environment, I also got so tired of constantly having to spend money on a bottle of water, so one day I was just over it and made the decision to be a bit more conscious about this. I bought this Mizu bottle, decided that from now on, everywhere I would go, I would have to bring my bottle of water with me, and so far so good.

I do think it has been easier to adapt this bottle into my because of the beautiful summer we have had. It has been so warm this summer that I just needed to bring a bottle of water with me to cool down a bit. Another great thing that happened since I got this bottle, is that I also tend to drink a bit more water now that I have got this bottle.

Topshop ring handle bag

Another item that I have loved during August is this gorgeous Topshop ring handle bag. I already mentioned this beautiful bag in my 4 favourite summer bags. A ring handle bag is such a versatile and beautiful item to have as an accessory. It was such a steal and I can fit just about everything I need on a daily basis in there. This bag will be such a versatile item in my wardrobe that I, without a doubt, will wear and use for such a long time. So instead of using it, I will also try to show you how I style it with an outfit on the blog soon!

H&M Trend dress

My next favourite of August is this beautiful H&M Trend dress. I didn’t actually wear this dress that often during the month of August, but the times I did decide to wear it, I felt so summery and cute. My favourite time when I wore this dress, was when I went to Milan with my cousin, which is what I am showing you in the photo. So not only is this dress super pretty, it will always remind me of that time I went to Milan with my cousin and had the best time.

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA lotion

The Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA lotion has been an absolute favourite of mine these past two months. I also started using this Paula’s Choice lotion in June after I felt like I needed to change up my skincare routine a bit. I started noticing that my cystic acne was slowly starting to come back again because of stress and stuff.

After loving the Paula’s Choice Pore Normalising cleanser, that I mentioned in my last five favourites post, I did some more research on the whole brand and discovered their 2%BHA products. It looked similar to an acid-y product I used before, that so I decided to give it a go. I have really loved this product so far and I really notice a difference if I religiously put this on two times a day. Because this is an acid product, I do tend to finish it all off with some sunscreen to protect my face from any damage that can be caused by the sun.

L’Oreal Paradise Extatic mascara

The last item I have loved in August, is the L’Oreal Paradise Extatic mascara. You might know that I am a big lover of the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, but I’m not going to lie; I would rather not spend that amount of money on mascara since I am on a uni budget. So when this first came out I was dying to give it a try, as it was supposed to be a dupe for that mascara. I literally looked everywhere for this, but it sold out so quick here in The Netherlands. Then I finally managed to get my hands on it and I pretty much have used it everyday since May. This mascara definitely is a cheaper alternative to the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara in my opinion. I honestly think it pretty much does the same, has pretty much the same wand and has the same effect as the Too Faced one.
