Hello, I am back again. This week has been quite uneventful, as I spent most of my time this week in bed curing yet another flu. Thankfully I am finally feeling better again and I now only have to blow my nose every 10 minutes instead of every 5 minutes, so I feel like that's a massive improvement. This past few days being in bed all day got me thinking about the blog though.

I guess the fever just went to my head and made me 'realize' things (gosh I am really hard trying not to sound like Kylie in that one clip). The realization that came to me in this feverish state is that I am finally enjoy blogging again. I feel like I am finally writing content again, that I am proud of. Last year I may have lost a bit of my passion for blogging. I never really knew what I wanted to talk about in blog posts, I was just feeling pressured to blog and was never truly satisfied with the content I created. Quitting isn't something that I like to give in to, so I just kept forcing myself to write blog posts anyway. However, towards the end of January I got this sudden boost of inspiration, motivation and willpower. I wanted to get back into things again, because as much as 2017 was a lovely year, I felt like 2017 also was the year I pressed pause in my life a bit.

This year I want to start living like a 21-year-old again. I want to experience things to its fullest, live healthier and spend more time with friends and family. This year I want to be more productive and get most out of my life. Last year I had managed to create myself some sort of a routine where I was constantly procrastinating (I am a champion at procrastinating and will always find something new to do) and avoiding tasks in life. The unproductiveness was starting to get to me and this year I am changing that. February started with me getting my life in order again. I began working on a bullet journal, I'm late to the party, I know. And feel so much more in control of my productiveness.

What made me feel inspired and motivated again, basically was setting myself some sort of a routine. I realized that my unproductiveness came from having no routine whatsoever. Last year I went back to university after I had interned for a good six months. When I was interning, I had a routine and knew what I had to do on certain days, whereas when I went back to uni, I completely lost having a routine.

Creating a routine is such an important thing to have, especially in my life. I am currently in my final year of uni and having a good routine is essential to prevent yourself from messing up everything in your life. Nowadays I have set days on which I would work on either uni or my blog. Mondays and Tuesdays are set days for blogging, Wednesdays and Thursdays are for uni work and then Fridays are for both blogging and working on uni.

Setting this routine immediately gave me some peace of mind. Normally I would constantly be thinking that I had find something new to blog about, almost 24/7. This basically put such a big strain on my creativity, that I froze and didn't know what to write about. Now that I have set this routine, I find it easier to focus on my blog and on university stuff. The reason being, I now know which days I can spend worrying about my blog, and which days I can spend worrying about university work that has to be done.

Another very important thing I found that has brought blogging back as a passion, is taking time for myself, taking time offline. My phone is always glued to my hand and I am constantly scrolling through Instagram and Twitter catching up with the blogosphere. However, I felt demotivated and discouraged by seeing other people create content that was amazing, whereas I felt so uninspired.

That's why I started reading books again. So far I have read four books this year, which is a massive improvement comparing to last year. Spending time offline has helpt me finding my inspiration again too. Nowadays I get so inspired by reading new books, flicking through magazines and just by being outside for a walk. Doing all of these things, have actually made me feel inspired to write all of this content during February. And for the first time in a long while I actually feel proud of the content that I have created most of the month.

Okay so the last thing that really helped me get out of my blogging rut, is to not feel pressured to put up lots of content. I used to feel so pressured to blog, whereas this year I feel like I can create content as soon as I feel inspired. I have a few topics written down in my bullet journal that I feel like I desperately want to talk about, which really helps in me not feeling pressured to blog every day of the week anymore.

I stopped scheduling my posts every day and now only try to post on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and an occasional day in the weekend if I am feeling extra inspired. If I don't have any inspiration and don't know what to write about, I just don't blog. And I am fine with that, even if that means that I only posted one new blog post this week. Sometimes it's just impossible to create content, even on the days I want to post. Especially when you're down with the flu and unable to create content. Or if you're stuck at work or have to finish a uni assignment.

Just have fun while blogging, write something you would like to read. By doing that, everyone who reads your blog will see your enthusiasm, and enjoy your content too. I still have lots of fun and exciting content ideas up my sleeve that I want to start creating soon, and I might have started already. I was so excited about some of the content that I had in mind this week, that I am actually going to be posting on both days this weekend.
