ESSENTIALS | AUTUMN WARDROBE ESSENTIALS

This post is so, so long overdue. I had been planning to write this post for ages now, but only just got sitting down and actually typing this post up. With the seasons changing, I am always buying myself new clothes for the upcoming season. Every autumn season I am kind of starting to discover what I like to wear for those upcoming months. And this autumn I had a hard time trying to figure out what exactly would be statement pieces in my wardrobe this season. So without further or do, here are a few autumn wardrobe essentials to freshen up your wardrobe a bit.

A baker boy hat
Because are you really into fashion or even a blogger if you don't own one of these for the upcoming season? But all jokes aside, I actually really love this baker boy hat trend, and I feel like they can really spice up an outfit. I also find that these are a perfect variation to your standard beanie. My baker boy hat is from Topshop, but I also find that ASOS do some really good ones if you're still on the hunt for a baker boy hat!

Scarves scarves scarves, especially chunky ones
Scarves are my absolute favourite thing in autumn. They're perfect to snuggle into when it's really cold outside. Or there's someone eating some sort of onion soup when you're on the train (Yes this really happened to me while I was on the train, the worst hour of my life). Anyway, I like to have chunky, almost blanket-like scarves, so I can be as snuggly and cosy as possible. My favourite places to buy scarves at are H&M, Monki, ZARA and ASOS.

Chunky knits
If you know my by now, you know that I am all about comfort and cosiness, especially during the autumn/winter season. I love chunky, cozy knits, and I basically live in these sorts of jumpers. My favourite ones are usually bought at ZARA, Mango, H&M and Pull & Bear.

Prince of Wales/Checked blazer
Just like I said with the baker boy hats, are you even a blogger if you don't have some sort of check print blazer? Checked blazers are such a favourite of mine this season. I won't ramble on and on about this as much anymore, as I already talked about my love for these blazers in this and this post. I find that H&M, Mango and ASOS do most of these checked blazers, but you have to be quite quick to get your hands on them, as they seem to sell out so quickly right now!

Camel coats
Camel coats are so great for autumn aren't they? I love how camel coats look on when you're out on an autumn walk. These coats instantly make you feel super chic and Parisian, even if you're wearing a really slouchy outfit underneath. I do think it's a bit harder to find one this season, and mine is from last season. But I did find a few coats I liked on Zalando and New Look.

Combat/Lace Up boots
The final wardrobe musthave of mine are combat booties. I had been doubting for such a long long time whether or not I needed to get myself Dr Martens. And as much as I love that style of booties, I felt like the Dr Martens did not look good on me at all. So I went looking for another, similar sort of pair. I found my perfect pair at Manfield, but I do feel like ASOS and Stradivarius do some really great pairs too.

  1. Leuk artikel. Bijna alles heb ik zelf ook in mijn kast liggen haha. Alleen mist een goed paar veterlaarsjes nog en wil ik ook een nieuwe leerlook skinny scoren.
