FIVE FAVOURITES | OCTOBER

I know I say this every single month, but October really went by far too quickly to my liking. I have been so busy in October, and November and December will only be even more stressful and busy. So that's probably why I feel so nostalgic about October as a month. However, now that it's November, I am finally getting excited about all things Christmas! During the month of October, it was quite easy to remember all of my favourite products. Basically I have been obsessed with these products and wore or used them at least once a week. So without further or do, here are my five favourites of October.

Manfield Boots
I already mentioned these boots in my Autumn Wardrobe essentials post, and I am going to mention them on here again. These boots are so good for this season. I like to wear boots during the autumn season, especially a pair of boots that have a bit of an edge, that are also still very comfortable. I stumbled upon these lace up ankle boots by Manfield during the very beginning of October, and I have been wearing them so much. The true test was to wear them while wandering around Edinburgh for four days, and I was surprised that they did not end up giving me any sort of blisters, which is such a plus. I can't wait to wear them even more during the upcoming winter months.

Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow tinted moisturizer
I have been getting lots of really lovely compliments on how good and healthy my skin looked and it's all due to this gorgeous product by Charlotte Tilbury. The Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer is such a beautiful product, that gives you that nice holiday glow, without actually having to go to some sort of tropical resort nearly every week.

This is a tined moisturizer that actually works great with my skin, it doesn't break me out and I feel like it adapts perfectly to my skin tone. So lots of my friends and family have been giving me compliments on how 'healthy' my skin looked, and this is one of those reasons that helped me look a little bit more alive in October.

Vichy Dermabland Covermatte Compact Powder Foundation*
The next favourite of mine is also makeup related, and the other product that works very well with the Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow. In September I already posted that the lovely girls over at Vichy in The Netherlands sent me a few of their Dermablend Covermatte makeup products. Ever since I came back from my holiday, I have been keeping my makeup routine as minimal as possible. I have been using this Vichy Dermablend Covermatte Compact Powder Foundation everyday for the past month. I use the shade 35, Sand at the moment. I feel like in the wintertime, I could go for a more coverage, so I usually put a little bit of this matte powder on my face after I have used the Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow, as I get quite oily throughout the day.

Fallow by Daniel Shand
I surprised myself by this, as I have found time in my busy schedule to actually start reading again. While my friend and I were off in Edinburgh, we stumbled across this cute bookshop, where I got this book. It got recommended by the staff and I really have been enjoying reading this book the past few weeks. The book is called Fallow and is written by Daniel Shand. It's about two brothers who are on the run together in the Scottish Highlands.

I am still reading this book as things got a bit hectic at uni, and had some deadlines to deal with. But I managed to find time to read this book again over the past week. I am now reading this just before I go to bed, so I can clear my mind. I also tend to give this book a read when I am off to Amsterdam. I currently am off to Amsterdam nearly every week because of an assignment for uni I have to do there. So while I am off on a 1,5 hour trip, I usually end up reading this.

ZARA jumper
The final thing is of course another fashion item. I already mentioned this in my Autumn Wardrobe Essentials post, and I don't know if you would have seen this on my Instagram, but I am basically wearing this jumper by ZARA non-stop. I am either wearing this jumper with my flared trousers, when I am off to uni or Amsterdam. Or I wear this jumper to go either shopping in town, or when I am at the library all day. This black oversized jumper by ZARA has been such a staple in my wardrobe these past months, that I feel the pressure to buy myself another one, just so I can make sure that I am all stocked up, in case ZARA decide to just stop stocking this jumper.
