BEAUTY | MINIMAL AUTUMN MAKE UP ROUTINE

Ever since the summer I have tried to keep my makeup routine as minimal as possible. I really am starting to notice a difference in my skin whenever I barely use any makeup products. So even though my autumn look has not really changed that much since I came back from holiday, I do use different products than before. I am not as tan as I was during summer, but still wanted to keep that 'summer' glow, so I went looking for alternatives. But the biggest plus of this minimal autumn makeup look: it also helps that my current makeup routine only takes me about 5 minutes, which means I can have another 10 minutes in bed!

The first thing I found that helped me still look somewhat healthy throughout autumn and winter, was the Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow All Year Hydrating Summer Tinted moisturizer. This is my first ever Charlotte Tilbury makeup product and there has not been any sort of disappointment. I already mentioned this product in my five favourites post. This tinted moisturizer is the base of my makeup look and I am constantly getting so many compliments on how healthy my skin looks whenever I have used this product. It's safe to say that this actually makes your skin look a lot healthier and not dull, which is an effect I can get quite easily due to the autumn season.

I actually have to powder the Charlotte Tilbury tinted moisturizer down, as I have oily skin and can get quite oily throughout the day. At the moment I am using another absolute favourite product of mine. It's the Vichy Dermablend Covermatte Compact Foundation Powder*. I'm always a bit hesitant to try foundation powders, as they usually give you this really cakey look. However I am only using the tiniest bit of this all on my face. I find that the amount that I use is perfect and does not leave me looking either like I have caked my face with powder nor like I am a shiny disco ball throughout the end of the day.

I like looking healthy and as if I just came back from my holiday, so bronzer can't be missed in that picture. Whereas I didn't use bronzer in my summer routine. So yes, I am back to using bronzer. I am still using the Marc Jacobs Omega bronzer in Perfect Tan, which just does not seem to run out any time soon. I dust the tiniest bit of this in the hollows of my cheeks to give my face a bit of a shape.

After I have applied the bronzer, I move on to eyebrows. I am pretty sure I won't leave the house without having eyebrows on. So I quickly brush through them and then use the Soap & Glory Archery 2-in-1 brow sculpting crayon and setting gel. This has to be one of my favourite eyebrow products of all time, but I can only really get this if I am in the UK. So while I went to Edinburgh, I stocked up on my favourite brow crayon. This crayon is so easy and quick to use. After this I usually just brush through them again, to make my brows look more natural.

The last thing I do is mascara. I am constantly hopping through different sorts of mascaras, but while I was in Edinburgh I stumbled across the L'Oreal Falsh Lash Telescopic Mascara and now I am obsessed. I have used it everyday for the past month, and you can clearly see that from the packaging, as it has all rubbed off. This gives me  very nice, but natural looking lashes. I don't really feel like putting lots of mascara on, especially since I am so busy with uni at the moment, so one coat of this on both eyes is more than enough to make me look decent throughout the day.

That's all the makeup products I am using right now. I know that this makeup routine might not cover up all of my pimples or acne scars, but I am over covering them up. Over the years I have noticed that it only got worse when I went to cover my pimples up, so nowadays I let my skin breathe a bit more.
