I love my smoothies, especially during the warmer seasons. One of my favourite things to have is a smoothie bowl. It's something that has been quite popular for a longer time now, but I feel like I only just found the perfect smoothie bowls to have. In this post I will share my two current favourite smoothie bowls with you. My two favourite smoothie bowls are a green smoothie bowl and a red(ish) smoothie bowl. Both of them contain lots of frozen fruit, because that's what makes it easy to eat in the bowl and just water, so it's really easy to make!

For this red smoothie bowl you will need:
50 grams of strawberries (frozen or fresh)
80 grams of frozen blueberries
1/2 a banana
1 teaspoon of acaï
50 ml of water

Put it all into the mixer and start mixing it. It's important that your fruit is still frozen while you blend it all together, as that is how you get the right consistency of the smoothie bowl. Once everything is mixed together, pour it into a bowl, add some toppings and you're ready to have breakfast!

Sometimes whenever I feel like I want to have a little bit extra in this smoothie, I also add a bit of frozen pineapple, to make things even sweeter than they already are.

For the green smoothie bowl you will need:
Two hands of spinach
50 grams of frozen pineapple
50 grams of frozen mango
50 ml of water

Again, put this all into the blender and start blending it. Once it's mixed, add some toppings that you like to have in your smoothie bowl. Be careful to not add too much water, like I stupidly did in this photo. If you add too much water, your fruit and other toppings will probably drown inside the bowl, which doesn't help if you want to take a pretty photo of it.

Topping it off

I love adding toppings to my smoothie bowl. If you're in need of a bit of inspiration for your toppings, then why not add (one or more) of my favourite toppings for your smoothie bowls:
- Blueberries
- Banana
- Strawberries
- Granola (I like the Jordans Super Berry Granola)
- Goji Berries
- Chia seeds

  1. Laatst heb ik er voor het eerst eens gemaakt, maar wil het nu vaker doen. Die groene klinkt ook goed :D

    1. Jaa heerlijk he! Ik vind het zo fijn om 's ochtends te eten! :) xx
