Happy Monday and Happy July! First of all I would like to apologize for my absence on the blog this past week. It has been a stressful, eventful and busy week and I am so glad that it’s now Sunday evening and I finally have some down time to sit down and reflect on this past month. I leave for my summer holiday soon and am so ready for it. This past month has been exhausting and I am more than ready to just sit back, relax and enjoy the sunshine these upcoming weeks.
June has been quite an eventful week filled with catch up with friends and family, concerts and birthday parties and I am so excited to talk you through a few of my favourite things that happened this month.
I had lots of fun catch ups with friends and family
I feel like June has been the month of catch-ups. May was just as busy as June was and I felt like I had not seen my family and friends in forever. So in June I really tried to free my schedule where it was possible to see and catch up with friends and family. I ended up seeing lots of friends and caught up with my cousin since she is now living closer to where I live. It was lovely and these ‘catch ups’ just really make you appreciate having great people around you who are willing to listen to my moaning about my thesis, as well as just being able to chat about everything and nothing at the same time!I went to two concerts in June
June also has been the month of concerts. I somehow ended up going to two concerts in one week, which was so much fun. The first concert my friend and I went to, was Camila Cabello. She was lovely. Next week however I went to BeyoncĂ© and Jay-Z’s On The Run II tour. Oh my god, I don’t think I have seen a show quite like that one in my life before. What. A. Show. I still think it was such an amazing performance they both put on. My inner 2003 BeyoncĂ© and Jay-Z Bonnie and Clyde fangirl fangirled soooo hard that I just had to get my hands on a tee from their merch, and I am never really someone who would do that.My dad turned 65 and we threw him a party
On the 30th of June my dad turned 65. That’s a pretty special age, so we decided to throw him a birthday party. We invited family and friends of my dad to celebrate him, organized a little quiz and just had a lovely evening filled with food, chats and birthday celebrations. He ended up having such a lovely birthday and received lots of his favourite wines and whisky’s, which is perfect, because he loves both. He now has enough whisky to last him until at least Christmas! We threw one of my best friends a surprise party
In the beginning of this year I turned 21, but now a lot of my friends are turning 21 too. One of my bestest, oldest friends turned 21 on the 21st of June. Which is so special! Her sister and parents decided to throw her a little surprise party on the 30th of June too with the help of a few of her best friends. We ended up having a gold and white themed surprise party and my friend was so surprised. She thought she was having a fancy dinner with her boyfriend. He blindfolded her halfway through the car ride and drove in the opposite direction to the surprise party location. It honestly was such a lovely surprise and I had such a lovely time before I was off to celebrate my dad’s birthday.
