HOW TO START YOUR PRODUCTIVE WEEK

There’s so much pressure on getting lots of work done throughout the day, to give everything your full attention and to be 100% on top of things at all moments of the day. I try to do my best and have noticed that I definitely am a lot more productive and focussed on my work if I apply a few adjustments into my life and I thought it would be fun to share them with you!

Meal plans

The first thing I try to do is plan my meals every Sunday. It’s just so much easier to set a certain day of the week to plan out your meals. This avoids you going to the grocery store and aimlessly wandering around trying to find some sort of inspiration on what to eat, You just have a lot less to think about in your already very busy day.

Early nights sleep

I feel like sleep is such an important factor in being productive. If you’re not getting enough sleep during the night, you’re probably going to be thinking about that a lot during the day. So I would definitely recommend that if you’re planning to have a productive day to have an early night or just create a sleeping pattern that’s easy for you to stick to. This way you will be a lot more productive throughout the day.

Exercise

Exercising can be so great to clear your mind. It’s amazing how just being active has such an impact on your mental health. If you are feeling particularly unproductive due to your head being an absolute mess, I would recommend focussing on exercising first. This definitely helps you clear your mind at first and then being able to focus on all the tasks you need to do during a day.

Brain dump

Another thing I like to do is plan a little ‘brain dump’ session. It always feels as if my brain is going in overdrive and never really stops thinking. This can really affect my productiveness. That’s why I recently started planning in ‘brain dump time’. I basically write down everything that’s going on inside of my head, any thoughts that I have or any blog post ideas that I’ve got. Once I have written everything out of my mind, I seem to be a lot more focused on other things than I would be if I hadn’t done that.

Plan your me-time

If anything, it’s so important to also plan some ‘me time’ into your busy schedule. I find that the only way I can be productive is by also planning something to look forward to into my diary. Planning these sorts of things can really make you even more productive, as you want to just finish all of the other things that are on your to-do list before getting in bed and watching Love Island (yes that’s basically my life right now), having a pamper night or even going out for dinner with your friends or your boyfriend. Those are the kinds of things that you can really get some energy out of and are needed in every person his or hers busy but productive week schedule!
