This is one of my latest go-to outfits for when I am at uni. Being comfortable is key, especially when your in lectures all day, so that's why I usually end up wearing some sort of an oversized jumper with aan even more comfortable pair of trousers. Going back to uni comes with a certain amount of stress and everything. Being back at uni made me realize that I really want to focus on achieving some personal goals this semester. Instead of just thinking of these goals, I am writing them down in a blog post, so I can stick to them. And actually reflect on these goals by the end of December.
GO TO BED EARLY
If there's one thing I suck at, it's going to bed early. I am a major night owl, and get lots of things done during the evening and the night. I prefer staying up late and working on the things that I need to finish. However, I also want to start waking up earlier during the day, so I can fit more things into my day. Right now I only sleep about 5 to 6 hours a night, and I am feeling it.To solve my problem with productivity throughout the day, means that I have to go to bed early. So as of this month I try to be in bed before 10:30. I try to put all things digital aside before 11. So I try to either read a book before bed, or get some meditation in before bed to completely clear my mind.
CREATE A REALISTIC SCHEDULE FOR MY UNI WORK
Having a good planning for all of your work is key, especially when you're in uni. It might not seem like you need one when you're in the first few years of uni. Now in my third year of university, I have to work with some sort of schedule to get all of my work done in time. I tend to make a not so realistic schedule (read two books a day, not take any breaks, etc.). So this year my goal is to make a realistic daily to-do list, and a realistic schedule to finish all of my work on time, so I won't be stressed out as much as before.
IMMEDIATELY GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING
Another goal I set myself probably has quite a lot to do with me not going to bed early. I hate waking up in the morning, and tend to be in bed for way too long. A goal I set for myself this morning is wake up, get out of bed, take a shower and then start my day. I used to be in bed and check my phone, and I am usually getting out of bed either being stressed or I am just not starting my day at all. Setting this as a goal, I will be hoping to also be more productive throughout the day.EAT BREAKFAST EVERY MORNING
My final goal probably is the most important goal out of these four. I need to start eating breakfast every morning, especially when I am off to uni. I tend to skip breakfast whenever I go to uni. I would much rather have an extra five minutes in bed than wake up 10 minutes earlier to start my day with some breakfast. So with all the goals I set before this one, I feel like it will be easier to eat breakfast every morning too. Going to bed earlier will make feel rested, ready to start my day. That way it will be easier to get out of bed in the morning, and to have breakfast every day. Breakfast is such an important part of your day and I feel so much more energized when I have had breakfast.I am really going to try and stick to these goals. I feel like they definitely are realistic goals, so they won't be that hard to achieve (I hope). I am already starting to get into a routine of getting ready for bed at 10. I also made myself a work schedule yesterday, so I feel a lot more in control.
Slowly but surely I am trying to achieve these goals and I can't wait to update you on these goals throughout my semester.
