FIVE FAVOURITES | MARCH

It seems as if time is just flying away lately. We are already almost half way through April, but it still feels like it is the first of April to me. Before I even had time to really sit down and think about my March favourites, it somehow turned to April and now I am pretty late with my Five Favourites of March.

These favourites include a few fashion bits and beauty bops (as usual) and this time I also have a magazine favourite.

Topshop loafers
The Gucci loafers were on top of my wishlist during last year’s summer. Of course I can not afford (or am not willing to spend) that much money on a pair of shoes just yet, uni student life yay! So I decided to look for affordable dupes. Lots and lots of stores do dupes of the Gucci loafers nowadays, and a few months back I decided to bite the bullet and get these Topshop loafers.

Now that the weather is finally getting a bit warmer again, I can really start wearing these loafers for ‘the first time’, but without my ankles and toes actually freezing off. I really find that these loafers work with quite a few combinations, and I am so excited for the weather to get warmer again, so I can wear these loafers with cute dresses and skirts!

These loafers by Topshop are sold out, but I find that on ASOS there are quite a lot of similars for these Gucci dupes such as these MissGuided ones, these ASOS ones or this pair from New Look.

Blogosphere magazine
I love reading magazines and books before I go to bed. Now that I am interning, I actually also feel like I have time to read before I go to bed. It is a nice change to read before going to bed instead of stressing about homework or some other sort of deadline.

Basically, I have been reading a lot and I was looking for some new magazine to read. Then I stumbled upon Blogosphere magazine. This magazine has been made by bloggers for bloggers, which is just amazing! I had heard a lot about it before, but never thought about subscribing to this magazine myself, as I never thought I would be able to get my hands on it here in The Netherlands. I don’t know why I thought that we were still living in another century, but I soon discovered that I as a Dutch blogger could subscribe to this magazine too.

So then I subscribed to this magazine at 3.30 AM on a Saturday in March because I could not sleep. Halfway through March these two magazines got delivered to my doorstep and I got so excited! I absolutely love these magazines already. I find it very inspiring to read about and learn from other bloggers.

Laura Mercier mineral loose powder
This Laura Mercier Mineral Loose Powder has been my go to base product since January. I think I already mentioned it in my December favourites that I posted back in January. This is one of the few base products that I can use without my skin having some sort of major freak out and then a break out to it.

What I love most about this powder is that is medium coverage, but definitely buildable to full coverage. Throughout the day it leaves me with the nicest, natural glow. I love a natural glow, but because I am very oily, my face can look quite oily sometimes. This powder perfectly balances my skin and it looks healthy throughout the day, instead of looking like ‘I just went to the gym’ oily that some other products can give me. I use the colour 'Real Sand'.

Versace Versense perfume
This Versace Versense perfume is my go to perfume when the weather is slowly starting to become better. Now that the spring season has officially kicked off, I went back to my favourite scent. This is one of those perfumes that whenever people smell this scent, they think of me. I always hear this from my friends at uni when I walk by. They immediately know it is me by this scent.
Read all about this scent in my fragrances of the moment blog post here.

Another item that I am very excited about to wear because it is spring is this striped blouse from YAS. I am a big sucker for striped and preferably would live in them everyday. By the growing collection that I have right now, I probably could live in stripey clothes every day. This shirt however, is a brand new addition to my on-going striped love affair. I absolutely loved this shirt on the model and already envisioned it with a cute pair of white trousers and some white trainers during the warmer months. This blouse did not fail me, because I have worn this blouse so much already since I got it. I love the colours. You probably have been coming across this colour a lot too recently. Such a good SS2017 colour!

Also, I just saw that this particular blouse is now on sale. So basically there's no reason not to buy it now.
