LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS

So I went a bit awol on all socials since last week. I think the overwhelming Christmas feeling finally got to me and all I seemed to be wanting to do was spend my days in bed watching crappy Christmas films. I basically went into hiding, but I finally got my but into gear and am determined to finish all the December content I had planned to go up. Christmas is now only literally a week away and if you've left it a bit late with the Christmas shopping and don't know what a clue of what to buy then keep on reading. I don't think I have done a gift guide in a couple of years now, and I don't really feel like this is a proper one either. The gifts I am mentioning in today's blog post can be just a few cute little stocking gifts if you'd like to add a few little presents, but they can also be really lovely gifts to just gift like that.

Candles

I feel like candles are such a great gift to gift during Christmas. It's that time of year that candles are really used and I also feel like a candle is the cutest little extra stocking gift to give to your mum for example. If you're going all out you could also buy someone a bigger, more expensive candle. Candles make such a lovely addition to any kind of home or room and there's nothing better than coming home to relax after Christmas. You put your candle on, enjoy some mulled wine or a hot chocolate and just spend the rest of the evening on the sofa while the room smells lovely.

The great thing about candles is that you can make it as expensive as you like. I personally love going into TK Maxx to smell some new candles and buy new candles there as Christmas gifts. Other places I love to buy candles from are H&M Home, This Works and Rituals. I added some of my favourite candles to the widget below.

Puzzles or games

Another gift that I love to gift to people is puzzles or games. When we were younger we all used to play games and cards all the time, but somewhere along the way I personally forgot how much fun it is to actually play games. One of my favourite things to do whenever I hang out in a big group of people is to play games. My personal favourites to play are Dobble and The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow, as I just cannot stop laughing whenever I play it with friends. But others that I would love to give to people this Christmas and also play myself are games such as Cards Against Humanity, What's Do You Meme?, New Phone Who Dis? and Fake News Game. Most of these games are usually sold at Urban Outfitters or in toy stores in your town, so it's super easy to pick these sort of board games up when you're off to do some Christmas shopping in town.

Posters and prints

Now that I am in the process of redecorating my room, I am really into home bits and bops. One of my favourite things to look at the moment are all the different kind of posters and prints that are available out there. I personally can spend hours and hours looking at new prints and posters as there's just so many gorgeous posters. Obviously you can buy a print from Desenio or Junique, they are both one of my favourite places to buy prints for myself. But those probably won't be in time for Christmas, so you could also try to look for posters in stores such as H&M Home, John Lewis and Urban Outfitters. Some shops in Holland that also have really cute posters and prints are Sissy Boy, Dille & Kamille, Xenos and Casa. You never know if you might bump into something, so my recommendation is to go to a couple of homeware stores in your own town to try and find some cute posters and prints and a frame to give to someone for Christmas.

Another thing I love to do is to go on Etsy and search for Vintage Travel posters, as there are just so many funky prints available to immediately download. You can then make the poster yourself by ordering it online or going into a shop where you can get those posters printed. Then buy a neutral coloured frame, wrap it up and you've got a cute little Christmas gift.

Reusable water bottles or coffee cups

Something I definitely don't like buying for myself are reusable water bottles or coffee cups. They always are things that are super necessary to have and own in daily life, but also something I can never get myself to spend money on. Those are the types of things that are perfect to gift to someone as a cute little stocking filler. Not only is it great and such an essential to have in your life, it also contributes to reducing single-use plastic bottles as well as coffee cups. Bring those with you all day and you're basically sorted for your day. The other week I was in TK Maxx and saw some really cute coffee cups and water bottles, so if you're on a budget, you can definitely find some cute bottles and cups there! If you're willing to spend a little more money, I would personally recommend to buy a Chilly bottle as they keep your drink warm for such a long time! I personally would also love to have a Keep cup, not because I am an avid coffee drinker, but because it's such a gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing cup to look at.
