Haircuts are always such a sensitive topic in my opinion. Some girls absolutely love their longer hair, but I personally have been a fan of the shorter hairstyles for quite some time now. I got my hair cut off again last week and it has been like a breath of fresh air. It was just what I needed after such a stressful last couple of weeks! Some girls consider hair their lives and I guess you could say that I am pretty attached to my hair too. That’s why whenever I get a haircut, I only go to the hairdresser I have been going to for as long as I remember. And even at the hairdressers I only trust about two hairdressers to really cut my hair to my liking. It’s a fresh start

I love getting my hair cut because it always feels as a fresh start. I feel reborn when I get my hair cut, because I finally feel like it’s at that length that looks good. It’s like you are a new person and are ready to things in life different too. It’s even better to get your haircut a couple of days or weeks before Christmas so you can really start fresh at Christmas! That way you can really enjoy all the little things about Christmas too for example.

It makes you feel confident

I don’t know about you guys, but whenever I see someone with shorter hair, or a long bob I feel like they are super powerful and really have their life together. Maybe it’s because I see female, powerful role models on with shorter hair such as Laura from Laura’s Little Locket, Estee Lalonde or my ultimate girl crush Lauren Conrad with her shorter hair. I feel like they really have their lives together and look super confident in whatever they do. I feel like shorter hair gives anyone such a confidence boost. This is one of the main reasons I got my hair cut off a couple of years ago. I felt like I wanted to feel more confident and I thought the hair would be a good start to help with that. It actually does make me feel more confident as I just feel like this length really suits me and I always get compliments on my shorter hair.

Think of all the volume

Now I don’t know about you, but my fine hair gets so flat the longer it gets. It looks quite miserable to be honest. That’s why I love getting my hair cut again. Just as soon as I leave the hairdressers the volume is back in my hair and I finally feel confident again because I have volume in my hair again.

Easier to style in the morning

Shorter hair is great. I actually find that my shorter hair takes a lot less maintenance than my longer hair. I have to really style my longer hair to get a bit of volume in there and I usually spend hours brushing out knots in my hair and adding oils to the ends of my hair to keep my strands looking fresh. Shorter hair is great because I usually let it air dry and it does exactly what I want it to do: just curl a little bit at the ends. All I have to do with my shorter hair is either air dry or blow dry it and put a little bit of texture spray in there. That’s it! It’s so much easier to maintain!
