MOMENTS IN APRIL

With May beginning, I wanted to look back on the month of April. Thinking back to my month, it feels like this has been one of the first months this year where I actually feel like nothing really special happened. But it all probably has something to do with how busy I have been during the month of April. Thankfully I wrote a few notes in my bullet journal on when I had really good days, so that really helped me reflect on April and made me appreciate the smaller things that happened even more.

Passing all of my uni deadlines

The first thing that made me quite chuffed, was passing all of my uni deadlines. Whenever these deadlines come up, I am always taking a bit more time offline to truly focus on uni some more. It’s always fun to hear that the hard work you put into something pays off.

Seeing my family

During the beginning of the month I got to see my whole family again. It’s always good to see my cousins, uncles and aunts to just catch up while celebrating someone’s birthday. I am definitely one of those people who feeds of the energy or their family. Seeing my family always makes me feel so excited and just energised.

Catching up with my friend over breakfast

Something I don’t do often, is go for breakfast with friends. I am definitely not a morning person, although I am trying to become one. So when my friend asked me for breakfast, I hopped onto the opportunity to wake up early and have a productive day afterwards. I just had such a lovely morning catching up with her, as I had not seen her in about a month. This might not feel as long, but we both have had so much happening in our lives that we could have just sat there until it was time for lunch!

Sunny days

The weather in April had not been that good until last week. Last week was one of those weeks where everyone was just happy and chirpy because of the amazing weather we were having. It was warm outside and I was able to finally watch the sun set while enjoying some down time at a beach club with some friends. These are the kind of spring and summer days I look forward to most and feed off of. It was just glorious to have the sun out, my bare legs had their first outing of the year. It’s always a great feeling to be able to go outside without having to put multiple layers on. Now these days have made me even more excited for the upcoming summer months and most important: my summer holiday!

Catching up sessions with friends

The last couple of days of April have been spent by seeing and catching up with lots of friends. One of my oldest best friends and I had not seen each other that much this month, whereas we usually see each other at least every week. So we just missed each other and felt like we had not spoken in absolute ages. I catched up with her while having lunch, we talked about everything and nothing at the same time and I just loved it.

Another catch up I have been feeding off, is with one of my friends/uni classmates. We see each other every week while we’re at university, but also felt like we had not spoken in absolute ages. It’s because we don’t really get to talk about live and stuff when we’re at uni. So on the last day of April, I went to eat some sushi with her at the loveliest place and we had such a good talk about life, friends, uni and our future plans.

As you can see, there haven’t really been a lot of exciting moments that have happened to me during the month of April. It's been really about the smaller moments in life during the month of April. I had not planned as much as I would like during the month of April. I have been a bit low in my energy levels and have been feeling a bit off and demotivated to anything. I am not sure whether this has something to do with my hay fever kicking in or if it has something to do with something else. Right now I am just feeding off energy from the people that make me feel happy and inspired, but I am definitely going to get my low energy levels checked out by a doctor soon.

What I'm wearing:
Old H&M trench coat (similar)
Boohoo tee (in pink)
Zara trousers (similar)
