4 OF MY WORK FROM HOME OUTFITS

Motivation? We don’t know her here… Ever since ‘rona I have felt a bit like a deflating balloon. I preferably would like to stay in my PJ’s all day, but know that’s not an option and will only make me feel worse. It’s why I have decided to get back into my normal routine and get dressed for a day behind my desk. Working from home makes it so tempting to just work in your pyjamas, but I have found myself to be less productive if I do so. I applaud you if you are able to work productively in your pyjamas all day, but I just can’t seem to do it. It’s like my mind tricks me into thinking I also need a nap at noon. So yeah, I am one of those people who dresses up when they are working from home, but I always make sure to be super comfortable.

Business comfy

First off I want to say that this sort of outfit is an outfit I go for when I want to look stylish, pulled together, but be comfortable while doing it. I love wearing trousers with an elasticated waist, as they are just super comfortable to wear. Since we’re slowly transitioning to spring weather, I have been reaching for my culottes more often. Most of my culottes actually have an elasticated waist, so it’s super comfortable to wear in and around the house. Some days I might just style culottes like these with a simple t-shirt if it’s warmer. Other days I just throw a baggy jumper on top. And on special occasions I might even put on a tight turtleneck top. I love the vibe black turtleneck tops give off. They instantly make you feel snatched and pulled together. Is it because Steve Jobs wore them? We will never know, but I love the look.

Casual Days

My second outfit I work in often is a really simple, jeans, a t-shirt and a cardigan. It might be weird to be wearing jeans if you’re working from home all day, I was one of those people before too. But I actually feel a lot more human if I put a pair of jeans on. Thankfully my jeans are relatively comfortable to work in too, which definitely makes it easier for me to put them on in the morning. This outfit isn’t all too special actually, but just very comfortable to work in with the tee and the cardigan. This cardigan has become such a staple in my wardrobe since summer. I often wear it when I am working from home, as it’s so cosy. I also think it’s cute enough to look somewhat pulled together and office ready too.

Cosy Business-esque

This third kind of outfit is very similar to my culotte-kind of outfit. Once again I am wearing a pair of smart-ish trousers that have an elasticated waist for the ultimate comfort feeling. In a normal life, if I were to go outside, I would wear this sort of outfit with a blazer. But I am working from home most days and who even wears a blazer inside, right!? I usually put this sort of outfit on with a t-shirt and then somewhere along the day I get chilly. That’s when I usually put my cardigan on. It makes your outfit not look too dressed up, so it’s the perfect comfortable WFH-kind of outfit.

IDK, I just want to be comfortable all day

The last outfit I am sharing is one of those outfits I wear if I am really not having it. It’s when I wake up and feel exhausted and want to stay in bed all day. We all have those days. On those days I tend to wear in joggers or gym leggings. Some days I might actually put a on hoodie as well. But that actually usually only fuels the whole mood I have going on then. So what I do instead is wear a super cosy jumper I would wear on normal days out instead. This way I still get the comfort of both my joggers and having a warm and cosy jumper, but don’t risk feeling like I actually am a slob. Obviously I give myself those days where I just want to wear joggers with an oversized hoodie. I try to limit those days to the weekends, where I feel it is more acceptable to stay and hide inside of the house to do so.
However I have to admit… Earlier this week I bought a loungewear set at ZARA and all I want to do right now is live in that. It’s so soft. So cosy. So comfortable. So everything I need in my life right now. It is taking me everything to not change out of my jeans and jumper and into that loungewear set while writing this post. I cannot wait to put the set on this weekend. It’s really something I look forward to do.

Hopefully this gives you a little inspiration on what to wear if you’re also working from home at the moment or are just looking for super comfy outfits to wear. I’ve talked about it before, but I actually work from home normally as well. I am just finding it hard to find motivation at the moment, as we are actually not allowed to leave the house if not necessary. Which I think is what is making me feel slightly trapped and giving me cabin fever. But if you want some more inspiration on outfits I wear when I work from home and want to be comfortable, you could always have a little look at my OOTD’s story highlight, as I share most of my daily outfits on there too.
