BEAUTY | THE "I HAVE EXAMS" MAKEUP ROUTINE

I am in the middle of studying for exams, and the makeup routine always seems to be a little bit more laid back whenever I have exams. This particular term I am going for a bit glowy, healthy looking face of makeup if I go out and about to get myself another coffee or to go and work on projects with friends.

The products I am currently using are some of the products I used to adore back in the days. I used to absolutely love the Laura Mercier Mineral Loose Powder and the Origins VitaZing SPF 15 moisturizer with a sheer tint release. And now that it's getting warmer outside, I am looking for a less heavy makeup routine. This is what I usually go for whenever it's spring season.

After I have completely cleansed my skin and put on some Kiehls Ultra Facial Moisturizer (Skincare blog posts coming up soon too!) I am still using the same primer as the last time I wrote a blog post about my beauty routine. It's the MaxFactor All Day Flawless Primer.

Then I move on to the Origins VitaZing SPF 15 Moisturizer with a sheer tint release. I tend to double moisturize my face as this gives me more of a glow and tint than it actually moisturizes, that's why I usually put the primer inbetween my actual moisturizer and this one. I love this product because it gives me a really lovely and healthy glow. Then I move on to my next step, which is the Laura Mercier Mineral loose powder in the colour Real Sand. I have a few pimples and scars from older pimples, so I feel like I want to cover up those spots and scars a little bit. Instead of using a concealer, I usually go for a powder to do that. I used to absolutely love this product back when I was in high school, so I wanted to throw it back a little bit to my high school years and use this lovely product again. It has a pretty high coverage, but doesn't feel like you have a lot of makeup on, as it's a loose and mineral powder. I apply the mineral loose powder with a Zoeva Powder brush. This brush and the mineral powder I mentioned earlier on, is probably why it looks so glowy.

After I've done my base makeup I usually set my makeup a bit with some setting spray. I am currently using the Urban Decay All Nighter, which is a setting spray that I got at Sephora during my last holiday.

Once that part of my face has dried up, I usually would go for my "bronzer" as I normally always use a bronzer. This time I decided to grab towards an older buy that I got in London last year. It's the Topshop Illuminator in Ember, which I sadly enough can't seem to find online! I use a Kiko 103 blush brush to apply this with. I love mixing the blush and the bronzer together. I feel like it gives me a little bit of a healthy glow, but also fresh looking skin due to the blush. Then I apply a little bit of the highlighter with the same brush, but tap most of the product of the brush, because I don't want to end up looking like a disco ball.

The next step in my routine are my eyebrows. I recently got them threaded and they're still growing back a bit more, because the girl who did them removed a little bit too much to my liking. So I use the Soap and Glory 2-in-1 Archery brow sculpting crayon to fill in any gaps and to make them look a little bit thicker.

The last step in this routine is eyes. I usually try to put a little bit of highlighter in the inner corner of my eye, to brighten my eyes a bit. Today I used the highlighty shade in the Topshop illuminator for that. I then curled my lashed with a lash curler and applied a lot of mascara with the MaxFactor Velvet Volume false lash effect mascara, which is my latest obsession!

And that's it. That's what I have been putting on my face for the last couple of days because of my exam stress when I am out and about.

What do you use when you want minimal makeup? I am always looking for new products so tell me what you're loving at the moment!
