DIARY | BUBBLE TEA AT 8TEA5

Laura, what is bubble tea? That is a question that a lot of people ask me whenever they scroll down my instagram feed. Bubble tea is.... perfection. I discovered it late February last year and I've been hooked ever since! We have this really cool place called 8tea5 in The Hague which is at Noordeinde nearby the Noordeinde Palace.

Like I said I discovered, or my friends discovered, 8tea5 last year and we've been hooked ever since!  I've been wanting to do a blog post about 8tea5 ever since as we love to hang out there. 8tea5 has such a relaxed vibe the minute you walk in. I would and could never sit in Starbucks for an hour. It just doesn't have a relaxed vibe at all.. 8tea5 is a completely different story, the people who work there are the friendliest people in the world and are always here to help you make a decision when you don't know what bubble tea to pick and they would let you sit in their store for hours!

Besides the fact that I'm absolutely in love with the bubble tea they sell, they also have such an amazing store! The first thing I noticed when I walked in and had to wait for them to take my order was the lomograhpy wall! I just stare at all the amazing camera's every time I walk in and even give my friends hints about "how I love them so much and really want to get one" cheeky birthday present maybe ;)

Anyway, I can't even explain what bubble tea is. Whenever people ask me if I can explain, I just take them to 8tea5 to taste bubble tea or I tell them to google it. It's hard to explain, but it's reaally good! I used to order the Green Apple with either strawberry or aloe vera topping, but my friend let my try her Bali Sunset once and I've been hooked on that ever since! So now I order a large Bali Sunset with Cherry topping & Strawberry topping as an extra.

All I can say is, if you're in The Hague some time, definitely go and check out 8tea5 at Noordeinde 124H because it's soooo worth it! They also have a store in Antwerp and Arnhem and they are planning on opening a new store in The Hague in "De Nieuwe Passage" when they've finished constructions there. Here's their website and don't forget to check out their instagram

Their address: 8tea5, Noordeinde 124H, The Hague

  1. This place looks amazing. I love the Polaroids. My friend goes on about bubble tea and I really want to try it! I can't imagine what bubble tea is like- I kind of think milkshake meets flavoured teas but cold? I'm probably way off.

  2. I love bubble tea too! My friends and I are obsessed. If you're ever in London you have to try Lakwatsa in Notting Hill which is my favourite.
It has bubble tea and food and has a great vibe. I've lounged around and chatted to friends in there for hours!

  3. This looks soo cute! I love the Lomography wall too. I have a little Frozen Yoghurt place near me and it does bubble tea but I've always just assumed it was like fizzy tea and steered clear haha! Mybe I'll give it a go.
