Indonesia
The first place I am dying to travel to is Indonesia. I would love to explore Java, Bali and Sumatra while I am there. Thinking about travelling to Indonesia always makes me feel a bit emotional because my mom’s family is Indonesian. My grandparents used to live there so I have always felt like I have this special connection to Indonesia.Besides this special connection that I have always felt with Indonesia, I would also love to visit some of my family that still lives there too. I have never really met lots of my family in Indonesia before, and if I did meet any family from Indonesia, I probably was still an infant. Anyway, I would love to meet my family from Indonesia as well as discover all of the places that hold any family history, such as where my grandma used to live and where she went to school and stuff. This trip will probably be just an emotional rollercoaster for me when I explore all of these islands because of all of the family history that is left there.
Berlin
Berlin is one of those cities that I have visited before. It was during a school trip while I was in high school, but ended up being sick for like 4 out of the 5 days I was there. From what I have seen, Berlin is such an impressive city. I didn’t really get to see much of it though, because I was ill, but I am really dying to go back now and explore it with a friend from high school to create some new beautiful memories, as well as discovering so much more about all the architecture and history that is left there.Sevilla
Another city I would love to travel to is Sevilla. My cousin travelled to Sevilla when he was 18 and he learnt to speak Spanish there. I only remember that he told my family that it was such a beautiful city with gorgeous architecture. Sevilla kind of disappeared off my radar for a little while, but when my friend and I were trying to plan a trip last September, I definitely rediscovered Sevilla. It’s such a beautiful city with insane architecture. It was a bit too expensive to travel to at that time (because it was pretty last minute), but it’s definitely on this travel wishlist!Sydney
I have been dying to travel to Sydney for as long as I can remember. I am just so fascinated by Aussie culture, the stylish Aussie girls on insta, but most importantly I am just dying to go to the gorgeous beaches such as Bondi and Bronte beach. It’s definitely on my list to travel to Sydney at least once in my life and I am hoping to see Sydney after I have gone to Indonesia, as I will be on that side of the world already. All I know now though that if I ever want to be able to do that I might have to stop buying clothes, makeup and food altogether and eat just rice for the upcoming five years or so.Lisbon
Over the past few years I have become fascinated Lisbon. I am pretty sure that it’s because of the gorgeous architecture, all the beautiful coloured houses, the culture and the kind people there. I remember seeing a travel programme on telly when I was around 9 and I saw these trams going up these hills in Lisbon and I was so confused. When I was around that age, I always used to think that trams only really existed in the Netherlands but I soon discovered I was wrong. Anyway, I think that is one of the main reasons I am dying to go there. The other reason I mainly want to go there is to eat all the glorious food, and I am especially dying to eat some pastel de nata!Milan
Another city I am dying to travel to is Milan. I have never been to Italy before, and I think Milan is such a good way to start discovering around Italy. It’s relatively cheap to travel to Milan by plane when you travel from the Netherlands, so I think it would be so good to go there for a short city break soon. Besides it being quite an affordable trip that won’t immediately break your bank, I would also just love to explore Milan’s architecture and the museums and stuff. But the main reason for me to go to Italy definitely is the food. I am such a big foodie and would love to eat a really good pizza and/or pasta and lots of ice cream while I am there. I want to indulge into everything that has to do with Italian food, because I am here for it!
